We traveled up the Isaac Kazmirov Nature Trail above Orchard Beach, and down the shoreline of Orchard Beach to the trailhead of the Siwanoy Trail. Part of this trail took us to Walter Johnson's Eagle Project of puncheons across marshy land on the trail, all was in good condition and appreciated by the crew. We traveled west across the Lagoon, spotting a Heron in flight, and through forest until we ended at the Pelham Bay Stables.

We then traveled north along the bridle path to Split Rock Golf Course and an eastern course toward the Long Island Inlet. Passing the Pell Mansion, we traveled north and then south along the bay shore. The boys explored the natural inhabitants including mussels, crabs and other assorted sea-life.
